Trichomoniasis is one of the STD which caused by protozoan, this infection happens in vagina and urethral issue. Then, it mostly infects women but there is still a chance for men to be infected. Men may get the infection which transmitted by women. It happens during sex which happens without protection. This infection cannot be seen without certain kind of equipment. Because of that, they who get infection sometimes is too late knowing about it.

The treatment for Trichomoniasis can be done at home. The home based method treatment is not totally done at home with natural remedy. It is done after sufferers have diagnosed by the infection and also got prescription from doctor. The home based treatment is usually used antibiotic treatment. However, it is not suggested because the method cannot be proved scientifically. Mostly, the home treatment which use antibiotic happens under doctor’s supervision. It is done to make the treatment do properly based on the level of the infection. The antibiotic is given to prevent other infections such as syphilis, HIV, gonorrhea, and Chlamydia.

Other method of the home based treatment is alternative medication. The alternative medication is considered as not an effective treatment. Maybe, people can combine the treatment to get the fast result of the treatment. While doing the home based treatment they can use the alternative treatment which usually used water bath with certain additional. The warm water bath can be added with yogurt and vinegar. It is said to kill the protozoan.

Other treatment which can be use for the Trichomoniasis infection is medical care. The drugs which given is the metronidazole or tinidazole in single dose. But, the metronisazole cannot be taken by pregnant women in first trimester. People who take those drugs as treatment is not allowed to drink alcohol. They will vomit and fell abdominal pain when they do that.

As the STD infection, Trichomoniasis sufferers should involve their partner in the treatment. It will help them to be diagnosed and preventing the re-infected. Then, it is important to have safe sex and hygiene lifestyle to prevent being infected and spread the infection.
