Treatment for the Toxoplasmasis in Non-Pregnant Women, Pregnant Women, and Aids Women


Most of serious sufferers of the Toxoplasmasis are women. It can infect because they have intensive contact with cat or they have been infected from the fesses of the cat which happen when they have contact. This infection is quite danger for the women because it can cause infertility and also miscarriage while pregnancy. Then, the treatment for this infection should be done in serious mode to have the women full recovery.

In non-pregnant women, the treatment for the Toxoplamasis can be focus on the healing the fertility. The treatment is not too specific. They who suffer the infection will requite to take certain kind of medicine which can heal the infection from the protozoa. They can take Pyrimethamine with sulfadiazine or clindamycin. However, the clindamycin can be the trigger of allergy. Then, it can be substituted with azithromycin. The steroid can be the consideration of the treatment because it can create shift of the radiologic midline.

The treatment for the pregnant women will not be as simple as the non-pregnant women. It happens because the treatment will influence the pregnancy condition and the worst is the baby condition. The risk of taking treatment and not taking is quite the same. Then, the treatment is done carefully. The treatment is not easy to be done because the diagnosed cannot be seen easily. Besides that, the treatment has risk to the fetus as the side effect. But, the treatment will be taken which help the risk the baby can get the infection and certain kind of the chronic disease. Easier treatment will happen if the baby has not been infected. But, it will be hard when the baby has been already infected. The treatment will use pyrimethamine and sulfadiazine. But, the doses will not the same with the non-pregnant women.

On the other hands, the treatments for the Toxoplasmasis in women with Aids will not be too different. The treatment will require Pyrimethamine with sulfadiazine. But, this kind of sufferers will need additional medication. The treatment will be added by folic acid. Otherwise, they can replace the sulfadiazine with clindamycin. But, the side effect will make them have diarrhea. In this case, the side effect from the treatment can be more severe than other case.
